This series of beautiful tea inspired photographs “Tea of Ancient Classics” by Chinese artist and fashion photographer Sun Jun.
I fell in love with how they beautifully conveyed the elegant tranquility of Chinese tea culture while showcasing the ancient history and story of Chinese tea by integrating classical Chinese painting styles and modern fashion photography.
This series of photographs features clothes from Shanghai-based fashion label La Vie.
In these photos, you see the women with freshly picked tea leaves in different stages of tea picking, crafting, and tea appreciation. There is even one photo where traditional handmade tea firing is depicted!
Sun Jun has a unique style that integrates painting and photography techniques while referencing classical and traditional Chinese visual arts styles which has used in other photo projects but I especially love in this tea inspired series.
